Description This exquisitely crafted gold trophy depicts a magnificently detailed Dragon. It is an almost perfect replica of the original famous trophy. It is believed that the dragon was known as Fafnir, a ferocious beast of mysterious origin that terrorized some of the original terraformers on Rubi-Ka. The old miner stories tell that all the technological advantages of the guards and security teams couldn't stop the beast when it attacked. It seemed to be drawn to the Notum that the miners exposed through their drilling. The beast claimed hundreds of casualties until eventually it was slain by a single miner with a cunning plan. Raymond Richards, an overseer with the mining division laid a trap for the beast by asking his best friend to stand by an open Notum vein whilst he positioned a drilling crane overhead. When the creature swept down on the man, Richards severed the support lines for the cranes sending the drill crashing down on the dragon's skull. Several version of the tale speak of his friend surviving, others suggest the brave soul perished in the beasts jaws. The corporation were so pleased to be rid of the beast they commissioned the original form of this trophy to commemorate the occasion. Richard's family were quick to cash in on his fame and still to this day run hunting excursions across Rubi-ka and the Shadowlands, giving away these almost perfect copies of the trophy to anyone who kills major prey on their trips.
